Before the invention of crock pots, this recipe was oven cooked. Cover dish tightly with foil, top with heavy lid. Bake 200 degrees for 6 hours, 225 for 5 hrs, 325 for 2-2 1/2 hrs, 350 for 1 1/2 hrs. Slower produces more tender results. Often called Busy Day Stew.

This recipe is really good. I tried it out about 3 months ago & the result was spectacular. I received much praise from friends & family alike. I varied the recipe by adding about 4 Tbsp of Jack Danials to the pot. I also decided to stuff the roast with garlic & marinate overnight in sweet OJ. Talk about tender!!!
